Water Sector Prepares Investments

More than 60% of decision makers in water management is planning to invest in 2010. Favorite categories of investment are monitoring and analysis instruments (33.3% of the respondents), software (27.9% of the respondents) and wastewater treatment equipment (25.6% of the respondents, according to the outcome of a survey held by WaterLink International. Related equipment such as pumps, filtration and separation equipment, valves, pipes and fittings were also mentioned.

 

 

Water Technology - Investments expected

 

About 75% of the people responding to the survey says to be directly or indirectly involved in the decision-making process, nearly half of all professionals being directly involved in the decisions. This supports the direction of WaterLink International to assist water professionals by providing the results of research, best practices and solutions to improve water quality.


Of the responding group of nearly 500 professionals 23.1% described themselves as manager or director, 14.5% as scientist, 13% as an engineer, 12.8% as a consultant. Government, education and utilities are mentioned most as the primary business.
