HKV Consultants Opens Jakarta Office

HKV consultants will open an office in Jakarta (Indonesia) on 1st February 2010. The office will increase their activities on the Southeast Asian region, where estuaries face a considerable flood risk. The Dutch government, in its ‘National Waterplan', intends to cooperate on a long-term basis with authorities in the Mekong, Ganges/Brahmaputra and delta areas in Indonesia. HKV Consultants is involved in a number of projects in the region related to flood risk management, amongst other the Jakarta Flood Management Initiative from Partners for Water.

The opening of a new office in the region enables HKV to contribute more to flood risk management studies in Southeast Asia. An example is a project to apply the knowledge, developed in the framework of Flood Control 2015, a Dutch public-private partnership for innovations in flood related crisis management) in the Greater Jakarta area. Jurjen Wagemaker is appointed as representative for HKV consultants in Jakarta.
