| OOAPAS is to implement the remote monitoring system of DATALOGGER IT for flow and pressure parameters reading in the municipal waternetwork to detect problems such as leaks or outages. Considering that most measuring points are located at sites exposed to heavy traffic and without power supply, was required a robust, reliable and autonomous device, able to record and send information remotely (GSM/SMS) and alert in case of failures, the selected device is the DIT-LOGS46. |
|
The solution has been the implementation of 450 DIT-LOGS46 units, which will be monitored from a control room with SCADA software, allowing to detect problems quickly and take action accordingly. The system will be capable of storing history values, facilitating the analysis of leaks and reports generation.
The increasing demand for water in large urban centers, coupled with decreased levels of groundwater and the constant population increase represents a major challenge for municipal agencies that provide water service faced with the demand of a continuous and quality service. One of the strategies implemented to solve this problem consists in the design and implementation of sectorisation programs for hydrometric districts, through which it is possible to recover a substantial amount of water lost in leaks and clandestine activities and allows to distribute a higher and better quantity of fluid in the network increasing the service in the colonies of the city.
