Bluewater Bio to present at IWEX 2009

  28/04/2009
Dr. Garry Hoyland, Bluewater Bio International's technical director, will be presenting at the IWEX 2009 conference which is taking place during 19-21 May at the NEC in Birmingham (UK). Dr Hoyland's presentation, at 15.00 on Thursday, 21st May in the IWEX seminar theatre, is on HYBACS (Hybrid Bacillus Activated Sludge) and the advantages of the process in relation to power consumption, footprint, applicability and performance.

The HYBACS Process reduces operational expense, primarily through an up to 50% reduction in power consumption compared with the equivalent activated sludge process. The process also has a substantially reduced footprint and is readily applicable to upgrading treatment works as well at Greenfield sites. Further, the reuse of wastewater in industrial and agricultural applications is becoming increasingly widespread and in many jurisdictions is now required by law - for instance, for district cooling schemes in the Middle East. The HYBACS Process is helping to meet such demand by producing high-quality effluents with re-use potential.

Bluewater Bio will also be exhibiting its technology at stand E30.
