Czech Presidency Chairs Final Workshop

On Wednesday 4th February 2009 the final workshop on the Water Vision for Europe will take place in Brussels (Belgium). Under the chairmanship of Ms. Veronika Jaglova, Czech Water Director, this event will present, discuss and analyse the outcomes of the regional consultation process which was launched by the EWP three months ago.
 

 

The Water Vision for Europe, initiated by the EWP and developed by stakeholders coming from the business, industry, agricultural and NGO sector, as well as supported by the European Union Institutions presents a future of water in Europe - to be achieved in 2030. This Vision enriched by region specific priorities will be presented globally during the 5th World Water Forum in Istanbul, March 2009.

Seaswarm to Clear out Oil


When an oil spill occurs, the challenge is clearing out of the oil fast and secure. Seaswarm is a possible solution to this dilemma. Robotic cleaning instruments absorb the oil and move independently and autonomously. They can communicate between them and coordinate their actions. The supplier claims the job will be done efefctively.
