Climate Change Adaptation and Water

  16/01/2009
The European Policy Summit on Water November 2009 called for a stronger and more focused cooperation on Climate Change Adaptation and Water in Europe. This lead for a number of organisations to organise a conference for Climate Change Apdaptation and Water on 12 and 13 March 2009 in Brussels.

Climate change and water

This Conference will be the first step in setting up this stronger cooperation in Europe. It will bring together various initiatives on Climate Change Adaptation and Water (CCAW) undertaken in Europe on both international and national level, such as the Dutch Delta Commission Report and the UNECE Guidance on Water and Climate Adaptation. It will demonstrate and promote best practices, ensuring Europe can make best use of numerous efforts already undertaken. Furthermore it will address the contents of the new EU White Paper on Climate Change and Adaptation and its effects on CCAW policies around Europe.

A detailed programme will be available over the next weeks and registration is already available at the European Water Partnership website under European Regional Process.
