Hot Water on Demand

  29/12/2008
The Medlund hot water system is composed of a drinkable water pump with an integrated electronic circuit, controlling the pressures of water and security system, temperature sensors and a radio transmitter and receiver. This solution can save drinkable water and a lot of energy in circuits without using a return pipe.

Medlund Hot Water Circuit

To use the system, a bypass will be created, recirculating cold water in a pipe until hot water is ready to use, and returns it to the boiler or hot water tank by the existing pipeline that brings cold water. The integrated electronic circuit is responsible for increase pressure to overcome the inlet pressure network automatically when the temperature sensors installed at the pump detected an increase in temperature stops automatically. Now we already have hot water in all faucets of the house without loosing drinking water down the drain.

The system is activated by one or more remote controls, or a button placed in the closet (kitchen, bathroom) where this pump is installed.

Is not necessary to throw down the drain drinkable water while we wait for hot water. Approx. 10,000 litres one person per year will be saved.

Much more profit of a solar hot water installation will be obtained when using hot water connecting dishwashers and washing machine to hot water pipe, for cooking, washing etc. So it is possible to cut down electricity bills. It also works with circuits when return pipeline had been installed. Also, the return on invesment of a solar thermal instalation is claimed to be faster with this product.
