2.8 Million Gallons of Water Saved In Seven Months

After installing five WeatherTRAK smart irrigation controllers and reducing outdoor water consumption by 2.8 million gallons within the first seven months of use, Pine Creek Village continues to upgrade its irrigation system by adding more WeatherTRAK controllers.

Timberline Landscaping Inc., a leading Colorado landscape contractor, has managed Pine Creek Village's landscape for six years and recommended WeatherTRAK smart water management as a solution to create immediate reductions in the community's water use.

The Pine Creek community covers a very large area, with countless microclimates and diverse watering requirements, according to Kevin Hunt, Business Development manager at Timberline Landscaping. Pine Creek and Timberline partnered on the project with CPS Distributors. Pine Creek Board members and the Timberline team monitor and manage water use 24/7 across the 58 acres of landscaped areas, including parks, trails, common areas and streetscapes via the WeatherTRAK Central Internet Management application. The online reporting features and remote visibility to irrigation schedules and monthly watering budgets optimize staff efficiency while the WeatherTRAK scheduling engine dynamically adjusts water requirements as local weather conditions change.
