Florida's Largest City to Model its Recycled Water System

  25/11/2011
The utility serving Florida's largest city, JEA (Jacksonville's Electric, Water, Wastewater, & Reclaimed Utility), has selected Innovyze InfoWorks WS to model and help manage its reclaimed water system. JEA already uses InfoWorks CS and InfoNet for collection system modelling and management.

JEA's Water System consists of 134 artesian wells delivering more than 120 million gallons of water a day through 36 treatment plants and 4,619 miles of water lines. JEA's sewer system comprises more than 3,925 miles of collection lines, 1,281 pump stations, and six regional sewer treatment plants handling more than 60 million gallons of wastewater per day. JEA also has a reclaimed water system to serve non-potable uses comprising 157 miles of pipe and delivering 13 million gallons of reclaimed water a day. This system is undergoing significant scrutiny in order to maximise the existing infrastructure and deliver more reclaimed water through the diurnal patterns.
