HKV Consultants Wins EU Flood Directive Implementation

The overall project involves the development of a Digital Elevation Model with Lidar, the surveying of cross sections, creating hydrologic, hydraulic and inundation models, as well as the assessment of mitigation measures. The study area is almost 18.000 km2 (and includes the capital Bucharest), and for 3.500 km of rivers a hydraulic model is to be developed. Work began in November 2011 and continues until the spring of 2013.
