2011 Be Inspired Awards Presented

  14/11/2011
Bentley Systems announced the winners of the 2011 Be Inspired Awards. This took place at the end of the BeInspired: Thought Leadership in Infrastructure 2011 event, held in Amsterdam on 8 and 9 November 2011. The finalists presented their cases and brainstormed on various issues relating to infrastructure design and asset management in break-out groups. The Gala evening, where the awards were presented by the vice presidents and the company management, concluded two fabulous days for the delegates from all over the world.

The awards honour the extraordinary work of Bentley users improving the world's infrastructure. This invitation-only gathering of infrastructure executives and thought leaders from around the globe was also attended by 75 members of the media from leading publications. During the awards presentations, 20 Be Inspired Awards winners, representing project work in 11 countries, were recognised. In addition, the winners of the Be Inspired Special Recognition Awards, announced last month, were acknowledged, as was the recipient of the Bentley Educator of the Year award, Maria-Paz Gutierrez, professor, University of California, Berkeley.

Five independent panels of jurors, comprising accomplished Bentley users and industry experts, selected the Be Inspired Awards winners from 57 finalists. These finalists had been previously chosen from the nominations submitted by 270 organizations in 42 countries.
