Industrial Water Management Theme Of International Water Week

  20/10/2011
Industrial water management is one of the main focal points during the International Water Week that takes place from 29 October to 4 November 2011 in Amsterdam. The event unites the large water consuming industries with the major water companies to find integrated solutions in sectors such as pulp & paper, food, beverages, chemical and the oil & gas industries.

The programme includes elements aimed at industrial managers who want to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of water.

Industrial Leaders Forum (3 November 2011) is a meeting place for board members, operations managers, process engineers and sustainability officers of water consuming industries to discuss the opportunities and challenges in the field of industrial water management. Joining forces with the water sector, industries will search for opportunities to achieve crucial progress and innovation

The forum will feature top speakers from companies such as Shell, DSM, Rabobank and Unilever who will explain how their water strategies will help them meet future goals. They will also discuss the innovations, technological developments, partnerships and legislation that have underpinned the successes booked so far.

Water Footprint Training (3 November 2011) makes managers familiar with the Water Footprint, a standard for direct and indirect water consumption in the production of food and consumer goods. During the Water Footprint Training industrial managers will take the first steps toward calculating their own footprint.

Presentations during AquaIndustry (1-3 November 2011) offer numerous interesting examples from the industry on how to increase production while maintaining, and possibly even reducing, water consumption. It will include speakers from companies such as Coca-Cola and Royal Cosun (SuikerUnie).

Trade exhibition Aquatech Amsterdam (1 - 4 November 2011) will include over 800 exhibitors from across the world who will present their products and solutions in the field of water treatment, water transport and storage, process control technology and process automation, and point of use/point of entry.
