| A new wastewater pumping system, called Flygt Experior, combines innovations in hydraulics, efficiency in motors and intelligent controls offering, according to the manufacturer, up to 50% energy savings compared to conventional wastewater pumps. The device has been developed to be simple to install and easy to operate. |
|
Flygt Experior consists of advances to three main functions, including pumphydraulics, motors and controls.
With the launch of Flygt Experior, the company will introduce an extended range of Adaptive N pumps, available on all N pumps between 1.3 and 7.4 kilowatts (kW), or 2.2 & 11 horsepower (hp). The Adaptive N builds on Flygt's core N-technology introduced in 1997, using a patented impeller design that forces all obstacles through the pump to deliver energy savings of up to 25% and lower maintenance costs through greater clog resistance.
Flygt Experior will be available with Premium Efficiency Motors up to 70 kilowatts (kW), or 105 horsepower (hp). The motors have been optimised for wastewater pumping applications, including some models featuring a Line Started Permanent Magnet, or LSPM design. All of the new motors comply with international Premium Efficiency Standard (IEC 60034-30), commonly referred to as IE3. Flygt Experior's SmartRun controls enable the pumping system to be pre-programmed and pre-set to handle any wastewater handling situation, making it easy to install and operate. The SmartRun controls optimise energy use and can reduce energy consumption by 30% compared to conventional on/off systems.
