| The Second National Delta Conference will take place on Thursday 3 November 2011 in the Amsterdam RAI, the Netherlands, during the International Water Week. Delta Commissioner Wim Kuijken is organising the conference which will have the 2012 Delta Programme (to be presented on 20 September, the state opening of parliament) as its theme. |

In the morning, prominent speakers will reflect on the subjects of the Delta Programme and the progress of the ongoing activities. Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Secretary of State Joop Atsma of the Department of Infrastructure & the Environment will be attending the Second National Delta Conference.
In the afternoon session, various discussions are scheduled on subjects such as water safety, the freshwater supply and drought, and adaptive delta management. At the Delta Parade there will be ample time and opportunity to share knowledge and experiences in an interactive and informal manner. The Delta Parade is part of the Integrated Aqua Solutions exhibition in which all nine sub-programmes will be presented. The exhibition shows what the Delta Programme stands for and what the current state of affairs is. The Second National Delta Conference will be held on Thursday 3rd November, from 10.00AM to 5.00PM.
The Second National Delta Conference will take place during the 2011 Amsterdam International Water Week. This event aims to bring together the worlds of water technology and water management. Partners, international delegations, participants and visitors can meet one another to shape the future of their regions and respond to the risks and opportunities water can bring. The IWW venues include the Amsterdam RAI as well as other locations in Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands and will be held from 29 October to 4 November 2011.
