Building Urban Resilience in East Asia

  19/05/2011
Together with the consortium partners Royal Haskoning, Witteveen & Bos, and URDI HKV CONSULTANTS implement the project ‘Building Urban Resilience in East Asia’, commissioned by the World Bank. The project aims to increase the resilience of cities to disaster and climate change impacts by improving public investment decisions in urban infrastructure, by applying a risk assessment methodology and by enhancing the access to project results, by sharing data and tools.

  Flood in Jakarta

This project focuses on two cities: Can Tho (in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam) and Jakarta (Indonesia). Together with the partners HKV CONSULTANTS conduct a risk assessment for both cities, make an inventory of available data and studies, and discuss with stakeholders in both cities how to integrate this information in public investment decision-making.
