Portal for Water Campaigners10/11/2010 |

| The European Water Partnership invites water campaigners to present and share smart awareness-raising activities and projects on the public accessible Aquawareness portal. Aquawareness.eu offers existent campaigns on water a focal point to communicate and disseminate creative ideas and actions and serves as a source for inspiration, information and networking. |
|
Up to the present information on awareness raising campaigns in Europe is very scattered. However motivation for action towards sustainable water management can only arise when people know what to do, when they are provided with easily applicable solutions.
Aquawareness.eu facilitates action towards sustainable water management with one mouseclick. The internet portal informs on water campaigns and shows concrete examples and actions for everyone who is willing to take action but not knowing how to start. By sharing and exchanging knowledge and experience, already tested activities can be easily and quickly applied in other communities and regions. Networks can be enhanced and joint projects started by getting into contact through this portal. On the other hand, activities around Europe are being provided with high visibility, promoting their efforts way beyond their own community.
Campaigners who would like that their activity becomes part of the Aquawareness portal, can follow the instructions. Only restriction: The campaign should be already ongoing or finished and should take place in Europe (as defined by the Council of Europe).
