Royal Haskoning has appointed Alistair Davison as Energy Sector Development director. Alistair is an experienced project manager and project director with twenty years' experience of environmental and development projects throughout the UK and abroad. As Energy Sector Development Director, he will be responsible for developing projects with the offshore wind sector in the UK and Europe. In addition he will support the development of the company's work in the marine renewables sector.
Alistair first joined Royal Haskoning in 2002 and was responsible for setting up the Edinburgh environment team.
Alistair has worked on a wide-range of projects in the energy sector, principally leading feasibility, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and consenting projects especially for renewable energy clients. He also has a wealth of experience working on ports and wider engineering infrastructure projects.
Alistair has spent the last three years as a partner within a large environmental consultancy leading the delivery of a range of environmental services, including EIA and consenting support, to the renewable energy sector.
Alistair will be based at Royal Haskoning's Edinburgh office. He is a trained marine biologist and is married with two children.
In a TEDx WWF session held in Geneva, Switzerland, Stuart Orr talked about water which is a solvable crisis. Stuart Orr is freshwater programme director for WWF International.
