Donations through the online fundraising portal, www.water2life.net, have rolled in from Grundfos employees all over the world, and every day, the water level rises in the yellow jerry can, which symbolises the collected amount of money.
Employees have also collected money at special occasions such as an anniversary at the GBJ foundry. In GWS Germany, employees have donated their dividend, and GDK Denmark has collected money at a recent employee party.
Concurrent with the employees' own activities, Grundfos and Danish Red Cross are cooperating on locating a village in the Isiolo district in Kenya, which will benefit by the first water project.
Programme Coordinator, Louise Koch, expects that more than 1,600 Kenyans will get access to clean water in September.
