Application of Constructed Wetlands

  07/04/2010
Constructed wetlands offer solutions to many water quality issues. Attracting experts from across the globe, this conference, to be held from 22nd to 24th June in Stoneleigh Park, UK, aims to discuss the use and development of constructed wetlands, building on present experience and academic research, to meet and resolve current and future regulatory and water quality issues.

Day 1 will focus on the application and installation of constructed wetlands bringing to the attention of the delegates the wide range of contaminants which can be removed from a wide range of wastewaters. Day 2 will be focused towards hydraulics and clogging aimed at increasing the longevity of constructed wetland systems with an opportunity to take part in a discussion group on wetland system longevity, clogging phenomenon and hydraulic conductivity and the methods of measurement and clogging in constructed wetlands performance models.

The conference will culminate on day 3 with site visits to a number of constructed wetland systems of varying ages and conditions including hybrid systems designed to increase asset life.
