British Water is the lead organisation for the UK water and wastewater industry, representing just under 200 of the most active companies in the sector.  Member companies of British Water are capable of delivering custom-made solutions to all technical, financial, legal or administrative specifications in water-related projects. 

Building on more than 150 years' experience in managing water supplies and providing wastewater treatment, the skills attained have been shared and developed with countries worldwide in areas such as: water and wastewater treatment; regulation; investment and risk management; project delivery; legal and contractual negotiations; specialist training and research; procurement of high-quality plant and equipment; and operational efficiency, for example reduction of non-revenue water (NRW) and development of network management strategy.
